I started Muspelheim in August 2004 with the song aptly titled "Muspel Kommer".
The early songs for me represent more of an exploration into various styles
of writting music then anything of real substance, and as such the first demo
should, in my opinion, be considered groundwork and not much more.
Muspelheim was started as a solo project and even though today there are more members I still write and record all the guitaring and bass. Lyrics are written by myself or Myrk, or us both together, and drums have been entirely handed over to Cerguant. Through Muspelheim I hope to establish a black metal band that creates the same atmosphere that was dominant in many early ninties bands, though this is not to be taken as a tribute band or anything of the sort. I intend to write music the way I feel is how it should sound. - Surtur Back |
